Julie Verhoeven collaborating with Mulberry

London Fashion Week on September 16th, will see the launch of the collaboration between Mulberry and illustrator Julie Verhoeven.

At the same time an innovative ‘pop-up’ store will appear at Mulberry’s Notting Hill branch. The full range of Julie Verhoeven merchandise will be exclusive to this pop up store for the first three weeks.

The aim of the collection which consists of feminine line portraits and thorny rose drawings on fitted t-shirts, silk shirt dresses, canvas tote bags and luxurious scarves, is to reinvent the term “Classic British.”

The collection will relocate to Mulberry’s Bond Street store in time for the Frieze Art Fair in October.

His collection also includes Japanese moleskin work wear jackets, heavily washed authentic bomber jackets, and hand embroidery feature on T-shirts and shirts. The photo prints on T-shirts are based on Bob Dylan album covers and paul’s own artwork.

Beautiful knitwear is growing in popularity not like in the 1980s when choice was more limited and many garments looked like something Granny would make, and you wouldn’t be seen wearing alive or dead.

Now a days there are many beautiful and original knitted garments and originality is everything it gets you noticed making you stand out from the crowd.

Style icons including Kate Moss, Madonna,and Julia Roberts are just some who are getting into the knitwear fashion revival.

All the major fashion labels have featured knitwear in some shape or form in their 2007 Autumn / Winter collections.
