Adi Dassler founded Adidas in 1948 however it was not until 1972 that the Adidas Trefoil logo was introduced.

It was not until the 1980s that Adidas shoes became iconic with rap legends Run DMC proudly wearing their Adidas Superstars so much they composed a song, My Adidas. They wore their Adidas shoes in their own distinctive style with no laces and the tongue sticking right out- a style that has been copied by the fashion world ever since.
