About Aertex Clothing
The Aertex Company was founded in 1888 by Lancashire Mill proprietor Lewis Haslem, who discovered that “cellular” fabric had excellent insulation properties, keeping out the chill on a winters day.
The fabric is probably more renowned for its cooling properties, and Aertex was a very popular brand from the 1940′s to the 1970′s, famously the company supplied WWII uniforms to the British troops in North Africa and the England football shirts for the 1970 World Cup campaign in Mexico.

Enjoying a resurgence in the moderm market Aertex enjoys a celebrity following and is currently being worn by famous names such as Babyshambles support band Vaults and Dirty Pretty Things lead singer Carl Barat.
The current Aertex range includes long and short sleeved shirts, t shirts, polo shirts, knitwear and knitted jackets.
