Lucy Macnamara set up Hampshire company Aspiga four years ago after a holiday in Kenya, she fell in love, not only with the country itself, but with their stunning sandals and so many of their other wonderful hand made products.

Aspiga’s flip flops are not produced in factories but by individual workers in Africa, creating much needed work to the local men and women in their communities.

Due to the fact that Aspiga products are individually hand made there maybe small variations per product, making each item truly unique.

I’ve been to South Africa a couple of times now, and absolutely love the culture there, especially the clothes and art. These sandals are gorgeous, especially the first pair with the flowers on. I particularly like the fact that this is an ethical company, which helps support local communities.
