Austique was founded in 2004 by Lindy Lopes and Katie Canvin on Kings Road in London (the same street which houses Vivienne Westwood’s shop, World’s End). Austique have a firm aim to provide women with beautiful clothing which allow them to express themselves and give them clothing items through which they can be unique. They encourage their customers to have their own ‘look’ and their aim is to provide these customers with items to enhance their own personal styles. The Austique Boutique is a firm favourite with shoppers from many different countries worldwide.
One of the things that makes Austique so unique is that they find different fashion labels which are relatively unknown in the UK and even help launch new label. At first, Austique gained the start of it’s wide fan base by importing beautiful Australian fashion brands although this has now expanded and today includes labels from Europe and America. Some of the labels found at Austique are Sass and Bide, Camilla and Marc, BOYD and Thurley.
Austique have also created their own fashion brand which include items such as lingerie, swimwear, accessories and ‘the perfect dress’. Austique also give the opportunity to their customers of having their items personalised; the items which are available for personalisation are, jewellery, lingerie, and the fantastic design-your-own-motif Austique bikinis!
