We all enjoy the George label at ASDA and now I am going to bring to you a few of my fabulous fours from Barbara Hulanicki for George however first here is a bit about the lovely lady!
Barbara was born in Poland but was raised in England and began her fashion career in the early 1960′s when she worked as a freelance fashion illustrator covering all the important fashion collections for the major publications of the day; these included Women’s Wear Daily, British Vogue, the Times, the Observer and the Sunday Times.
In 1964 Barbara founded the boutique BIBA with her late husband Stephen Fitz-Simon; they began as a small mail-order business who featured in the fashion columns of news papers suchs as the Daily Mirror.
The success story of this small fashion boutique is worthy of a big budget Hollywood movie – husband and wife go into business together, although against the advice of those around them and after a few false starts but refusing to give up, on their last attempt a pink Gingham dress with a round hole in the bank and a matching head scarf strikes a chord with the general public and sells thousands. This allows the couple to open a store which then becomes the icon of the 60′s and 70′s London!
Now Barbara has designed a line for the fantastic George label and here are just four of them!
This gorgeous top features an oversized design and is perfect for wear with a vest top and leggings or skinny fit jeans under it. The top has a pretty silver dragon fly design and is 100% cotton, available in sizes 12-24.

I have a new found love for skirts since finding a love for my legs and I adore this flippy skirt with a fold-over waist band… the best part about this skirt is that it can also be worn as a dress! Two looks in one! This skirt-cum-dress is made from a Viscose/Elastane mix so it clings just right! Available in sizes 10 to 16.

I mentioned a head scarf in the small bio so had to throw this gorgeous scarf in to my fab fours especially as it is very eye catching with its black animal print on bright pink jersey fabric – wear this around your neck for around your head for a serious boho look!

Finally, ever girl needs a decent pair of jeans and these are perfect! This pair of black jeans are a bootcut so they go well over heels, boots, trainers or flats and have a front zip and button fastening.

Front and back pockets with embroidered back pocket detail. Leg lengths are as follows: Short = 29.5 inches (75CM). Regular = 31.5 inches (80CM). Long = 33.5 inches (85CM).
