On my never ending search for pretty sparkly things to adorn myself with I came across a website that I may just spend a lot of money on.
Boticca is a unique online marketplace and is curated, edited and updated by a team of fashion experts, designers and stylists as well as editors and bloggers like me with the aid of collectors. They illustrate the fashion culture, stories and the inspiration behind all the pieces on the website.
Boticca emerged after an inspired moment when one of the founders came across a rare find in the bustling Medina of Marrakesh, they realised that the unique talent was pretty much impossible to find. After this a website was created which makes it much easier and far more enjoyable for customers to find high quaility and distinctive jewellery pieces, bags and accessories which come complete with a meaningful background story.
The team behind the website scour the globe searching for the very best in emerging designers and then puts them all in one place where you can pick out amazing pieces and hear the stories that go with each piece.
I found the site after looking for more skull based jewellery and found the designer “LeiVanKash”, I thought it has been a while since I have done a pick four…. so I did a pick five instead to bring you some amazing pieces.
First up is the piece that made me notice the site – this awesome and equally cute simple skull bracelet – super easy to wear and rather elegant with its gothic chic. This particular piece is made from sterling silver (but is also available in rose gold, emeralized, yellow gold, black oxidized, yellow gold with amethyst and silver with ruby). The string colour can be chosen by you so it is more personalised – you can chose black, burgundy, emerald green, neon green or khaki brown.

Birds in and out of their cages are big this season and this beautiful and simple pair of earrings reflect that trend so easily. “Who doesn’t like to feel free?” The findings on the earrings are sterling silver while the main pieces are 35mm in height are made from walnut wood with a golden top layer and are described as “very light”.

This quirky fly pendant is actually cast from a real fly using a technique similar to wax casting. The fly (which is obviously dead when all this takes place) burns away and then molten bronze is injected.. once this is cooled the piece is solver plated with an oxidized finish. It is approximately 2.8CM in size on an 18 inch chain.

This set of three rings are so very simple and yet carry a profound message; three things everyone person should have. You can wear them together or singularly but make sure you carry your Love, Hope and Faith with you at all time. Each ring is 6mm wide and they make a great wedding, engagement or eternity ring.

Finally, if you are looking for something to adorn your coat, jacket or favourite jumper than this unique brooch made from antique cotton corded trim with jet beaded leaves and hand scultped silk chiffon rose is perfect and complete with its antique black silk lace and tulle. It is covered with Swarovski crystals and gunmetal chains. The brooch is backed with leather and closes with a secure pin. One of a kind and measures 9.5CM by 17CM.
