Burberry Prorsum is Burberry’s top of the range clothing and accessories label.

prorsum is Latin for forwards or straight ahead, this is the Burberry house motto.

Designer Christopher Bailey, who became Burberry’s creative director in 2001, has injected new vitality into Burberry Prorsum. Bailey has taken classical Burberry embellishments such as the buckles and epaulets of the traditional trench and added his own playful relaxed style of design, blending upper class chic with saucy down to earth street credibility for a look that’s pure and perfect.

Christopher Bailey, born 1971 in Yorkshire, earned an MA from the Royal College of Art. He joined Donna Karan New York as a designer, and in 1996 became senior designer for the Gucci womenwear collection.
