As the Clarks Desert Boot is celebrating it’s 60th anniversary, Clarks Originals decided to commemorate this occasion by designing six fantastic new designs, each one corresponding to a different decade; three of the boots are for men and three are for women.

It is clear to see the passion that Clarks have for using high quality materials and the equal passion they possess for creating a superior quality boot. These boots are both functionable and fashionable and are, as Clarks so eloquently put it, “an essential fashion item”. Each pair of boots in this fabulous range come in their own specifically designed box containing a great souvenir booklet entitled ‘Six Decades of Looking Forward to the Past’ and a keyring constructed from the same materials as the boot.

The boots in the range are as follows; The 1950s boot is designed for men and reflects the fashions of that time period with an upper constructed of Harris Tweed. The 1960s boot is designed for women and reflects the psychedelic swirls of the time period with a colourful paisley print from the Liberty fashion house. The 1970s boot features deep purple suede and long fringing and is designed for women.

The 1980s boot is also designed for women and is constructed from acid washed faded denim and features an adorable side pocket. The 1990s boot is designed for men, is constructed from calf suede, and features a large Union Jack design on the back. The 2000s boot is a flashback to the original Desert Boot and follows the original specifications exactly, with a full leather-board, original English velvety suede and original orange stitching.
