Skechers is a worldwide footwear fashion phenomenon.
The US HQ is at Manhattan Beach, California, Skechers were founded by LA Gear shoe company founder Robert Greenberg. When he was ousted from the LA Gear board, Greenberg began Skechers in 1992 with his son as a distributor for Doctor Martens. They subsequently established their own shoe line in 1995. Skechers’ early products were Doctor Martens style utility boots and suede skate shoes, the Skechers range now includes thousands of styles of lifestyle footwear.
