Lingerie entrepreneur Joseph Corre has who was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours has turned down the award, saying that he found Prime Minister Tony Blair morrally corrupt.

39 year old Corre, the son of punk mentor Malcolm McLaren and fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood, is the co-founder of lingerie chain Agent Provocateur along with his wife Serena Rees who has also been awarded the MBE.

When Visa teamed up with TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid & International Development) to set up a glamorous bring and buy sale in central London fashion aficionados were able to update their wardrobes for free and help the environment at the same time.

Attendees to the Visa Swap Shop were invited to delve into their closets and bring unwanted items of designer clothing and fashion accessories to trade in for points on a special credit card, which could later be redeemed for other donated items.

Italian fashion designer Gianfranco Ferrè died in Milan on 17th June at the age of 62 following a brain hemorrhage.

Ferrè was a contemporary of designers such as Gianni Versace and Giorgio Armani, who created a renaissance in the Italian designer fashion industry during the late 1970s and early 1980s, creating competition for the Paris fashion movement lead by Pierre Cardin and Yves Saint Laurent.

Premium UK beauty store, Space NK apothecary has opened its American flagship store at Greene Street in New York’s Soho, a further four New York stores are planned.

Space NK was founded by Nicky Kinnaird who opened the first UK store in London’s Covent Garden in 1996, there are currently 52 Space NK stores in the United Kingdom.
