Cheryl Cole has changed her long and dark locks for something a little lighter as she turns 28 – the birthday girl as ditched her trade-mark extensions and is sticking to her natural length however she has opted for a lighter look as we head into summer.
The Geordie singer-cum-presenter stepped out over the weekend in a pretty white number by Stella McCartney for the first time since the whole US X Factor catastrophe, and it seems that she really has put everything behind her – gone are the big the hair and awkward outfits that she was criticised for during her very brief stint on US X Factor.
Cheryl’s trademark dimples were on display when she arrived for her birthday bash at the Sanderson Hotel in London – band mates Kimberly Walsh and Nicola Roberts were there to celebrate with her and rumours are that Will.I.Am joined the party later on.
Close friends of the sacked X Factor judge are insisting she has finished moping about her lack of employment and has picked up her US work visa earlier in the week so she still has America in her sights. One of her friends has told press “She’s not retiring or giving up show business, she just wants a short break….it’s a new year, a new look – she wanted a change and she wanted to feel free.”
Sure as hell hope that Ashley is listening to this, as rumour has it he is trying to win Cheryl back and has splashed out on a swanky LA pad to help woo her.
