Chie Mihara is the second of three sisters and was born in 1968 to Japanese parents in Brasil, after moving to Spain at the age of 27 she spurred forth her shoe line in 2002.

Her aim was to offer women a line of shoes that had something a little bit different about them; footwear for women, designed by women with a high priority on stylish design and extreme comfort.

Speaking of her brand and workers Chie says “we’re mothers, workers – all of us women and we should have shoes that will match our needs!” Chie realizes that women want to look and feel feminine and beautiful without sacrificing the comfort aspect.

The brand draws aspects from vintage influences from 1930′s femininity through to 1980′s humour.  Chie began taking details from the past and reworked them for the current day to reflect contemporary aesthetics and modern fashions. This distinctive footwear gained a devoted following very quickly due to the unique approach with which Chie adds comfort and style into each pair of footwear.

The goal of each item of footwear is to be stylish and encompassing femininity, fun and comfort.  Each shoe that Chie designs also features an anatomical footbed that she herself designed specifically to accommodate a woman’s foot. Chie want’s the wearers of her shoes to visually and emotionally connect to the shoes on their feet.

Eight years after the launch of the label, Chie has now got over 800 clients across the world who include luxury department stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus in the US of A as well as Selfridges in the UK, Isetan in Japan and Au Bon Marche in France with the flagship store being opened in Tokio, 2008.
