Here are the highlights from the Diane von Furstenberg AW 2008 runway collection at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week.

The styling of the collection appears to take a lot of influence from wartime Germany.

This extract is taken from Diane von Furstenber’s notes on the collection:

“Our muse strides through Berlin’s dark streets with a secret in heart and diamonds sewn into the hem of her dress. Her wardrobe: slender, feminine silhouettes marries with elements of masculine tailoring and effortless modern layering,”

The colours predominant in the collection include inky blue, plum and grey, these colours have also featured in other catwalks at this years event.
