The humble Duffle Coat has survived two world wars yet remains as much fashion staple as it ever did, worn by such illustrious celebrities as Sir Bob Geldof, Clint Eastwood, Christopher Dean plus of course Paddington Bear (whose fashion advice we all follow) .
The Duffle Coat began life as part of the uniform of the Royal Navy in the First World War, its large, protective hood, heavyweight fabric, leather loops and horn “toggles” was ideal for keeping out the inclement weather.
The Duffle Coat has even attracted the attention of top design houses the Prada Duffle Coat being a prime example.
