Electroclash is influenced by the early 80’s electropop bands, and has been in the underground scene in Berlin, Detroit, and New York since the mid 1990’s.

John Taylor says of the scene “Fashion and music should go hand in hand, when you go to a nightclub and the people look fantastic, it adds a whole different feel. I think electro is about bringing together the music, fashion and like-minded people, specifically people who are willing to experiment. That’s the whole point of electro, it’s about experimenting.”

The electoclash style is jaded rock chick meets disco chick, with emo thrown in for good measure.

Fashion accessories and clothes should include anything by Lolita, UV or neon lights, and rock chick accessories such as pixie boots, studded metal belts, and fitted leather jackets.
