Top fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg is suing Target as a dress sold by them is too similar to a pattern used in her collection.

The Diane von Furstenberg Studio of New York is suing Target Corp based in Minneapolis, alleging that a dress sold by the retailer has a print that resembles her trademarked “Spotted Frog” design.

Target did remove the item from its internet store earlier this week, however the complaint is that the dress is still being sold at Target retail stores.

In a statement a spokesperson from Target said that the company hadn’t yet been served with the suit but that it was aware of it and that they are looking at the facts and will take appropriate action.
