First Male to Female Transsexual to Enter Miss England

A teenager who had a sex change (male to female) has become the first sex swap patient to ever enter the Miss England beauty pageant.

Jackie Green had the operation in Thailand on her 16th birthday and has become the UK’s youngest transsexual operation patient.

Jackie, born Jack, is now 18 and has lived as a girl since the age of 10 this year she was asked to enter Miss England by modelling scouts that had no idea of her past. The aspiring model who is from Leeds, has hopes to use this opportunity to speak out against bullying and transgender issues.

“I went to the Britains Next Top Model show in London and was really surprised when scouts came up to me. Miss England is a prestigious competition and I’d love to win. I’ve as good a chance as anyone.”

Jackie was four when she decided she wanted to change gender and by the age of ten she had grown her hair and wore a girls uniform to school. At the age of 12 her mum Susie took her to a clinic in America for hormone treatments to stop male puberty from kicking in; she then re-mortgaged her house so she could fund Jackie’s sex change op which cost £28,000.

Jackie has been bullied and led her to attempt suicide five times; “I can never thanks my mum enough, she saved my life.”

Jackie is in the Miss Fresh Photographic round of the competition where the public will vote to decide who will go through to the semi-finals.

Good Luck Jackie!!
