You Magazine the award winning supplement by The Mail On Sunday featured Dame Vera Lynn in their “My Body & I” article on 31st August 2009.
Vera Lynn born in 1917 is considered one of the major Allied entertainers of World War II, she was and still is known as “the forces sweetheart”.
The most interesting part of the interview was when 92 year old Dame Vera revealed her clothes shopping secrets, You Magazine posed the question.
What is your favourite shop?
“Country Casuals (ccfashion.co.uk) – it’s well priced and I don’t think you should spend a fortune on things you don’t wear every day. I also go to Marks & Spencer (marksandspencer.com) for sweaters and underwear”.
