Follow these 3 simple step by step guides to achieve the Andrew Barton Salon look at home:
Smooth and sleek
A classic fashion winner, this look achieves a super sleek, super smooth finish.
Apply product to freshly washed hair, paying attention to the hairline and fringe. Section the hair underneath and secure the hair on top with a clip. Using a paddle brush lift the bottom section and start to apply heat with a nozzle dryer, starting at the top and working to the tip; gently release the hair at the tip. Work up to the top section at the crown, and regardless of style, blow dry back to create lift at the root. Dry the fringe last, turning the hair under at the tips. Once dry apply a serum and using hair straighteners take wide sections of hair – start half way down the section and gently stroke down to the tips, turning under and keeping the hair close to the body whilst the hair cools. Finish with a shine polish spray to achieve a mirror, glossy look.
Dress curls
A popular celebrity look, dress curls are the perfect accompaniment to party make up and fashion.
Comb freshly washed hair into a central parting and apply serum. Section the hair into two parts by drawing a circle around the crown with a comb; twist and clip the top layer. Take an underside section; lift the dryer and concentrate by moving up and down as you pull the brush through the hair; starting at the root, twiddle the hair around the brush at the tip. When completely dry, smooth through with the brush, wrap the section into a curl and pin whilst it cools. Progress in sections to the back of the head. Once the hair is completely cool, release the curls and use your fingers to loosen.
Volumous hairstyles
This is one of the hottest catwalk looks of the season and has been seen on runways the world over; the look achieves bouncy, sexy, gorgeous hair.
Once you’ve washed and conditioned your hair, wrap a section of hair at the front of the head around a bristle brush and apply heat using a hair dryer with a concentrator nozzle. Create lift and twirl, moving the brush and dryer together. Once completely dry, remove the brush and put in a roller; continue in sections. Finish with spray, remove the rollers, use fingers to loosen hair and then brush to smooth.
