It official that one of the most gorgeous couples are heading for a divorce.
Seal and Heidi Klum have confirmed their separation and imminent divorce. A joint statement has been released in the early hours of yesterday morning which reads “while we have enjoyed seven very living, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of out children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends and fans for their kind words of support. For our children’s sake we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
Reports were circulating over the weekend about a possible divorce but until yesterday the couple remained very tight lipped on the whole matter. Though the couple released the joint statement stating it is amicable rumours continue to circulate that Heidi filed for divorce due to Seal’s hard partying ways with tension thought to have started between the pair while they were on a holiday in Ibiza in August last year, with their three children and Heidi’s daughter from a previous relationship.
A source has revealed to a well known Sunday paper that when they were on holiday in Ibiza last year, Seal apparently “hit it hard” and was out at various clubs with his friends while Heidi was left with the children trying to enjoy herself. Another aspect to the split is that the pair have spent a lot of time apart on different assignments, especially with Seal returning to the UK to promote his new album.
It is thought that Heidi will file the papers this week citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce. While the pair were staying tight lipped before the joint statement, Seal sent out a cryptic twitter message on the 20th January simply saying “The End” and linking to this image.
