Helena Bonham Carter has revealed one of the secrets to her eclectic and rather crazy fashion sense; she wears clothes and accessories meant for her daughter!
The 45-year-old British actress has two children with her film director partner, the eccentric Tim Burton; Billy aged eight and Nell aged four. Helena has legendary fashion sense (not always a good sense) and has now given up one of the secrets to her fabulous fashion choices.
“I love hats” Helena says “I have a Mickey Mouse hat that I am probably too old to wear, but f**k it! Most things are bought for my daughter but I end up wearing it because she just throws them across the room.” she laughs.
The good part is that she has no problem with her outfit choices being mocked by press or fans and says that she would much rather be known for wearing something new and edgy than following the trends and wearing whatever everyone else does.
Speaking in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Helena said “My style is best described as erratic. Tim was very happy with a newspaper calling it ‘Bulgarian elf’ and it seems to have stuck ever since!”
