The original design being a classic suede Oxford shoe, fashioned from a native American leather. Hush Puppies went on sale in the United Kingdom just one year after the US launch, the success was immediate and they fast became a popular fashion favourite of the late 50’s early 60’s and a staple for ‘mods’ everywhere.
