Hush Puppies are an American brand and were created in 1958 by a US tannery company Wolverine. The shoes were originally a classic suede Oxford shoe made from American pigskin leather.

Hush Puppies were launched in the UK a year later and due to their comfort and style were a huge success.

In New York Hush Puppies became cult shoes when fashion editors and stylists were whipped into a furious fashion frenzy scouring second hand shops and street markets for authentic, vintage Hush Puppies.

Celebrities such as Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Liam and Noel Gallagher have all championed the Hush puppies cause.
