Izzy Lane collection to feature at ethical fashion event

January 8th, 2008

Izzy Lane who produce clothing manufactured from the wool of rescued sheep, are to show their collection at the Estethica ethical fashion event, part of next months London Fashion Week.

Izzy Lane was launched last year by Isobel Davies of Richmond, North Yorkshire, they have their own flock of 500 Wensleydale and Shetland sheep made up mainly of animals rejected by farmers, that would have been sent to slaughter for a number of reasons such as, being male, missing a pregnancy, being a little lame, being too small, being too old or having imperfections such as a black spot in a white fleece. Izzy Lane pay a minimum of the market value to save them.

The Izzy Lane company uses traditional textile companies throughout the UK to manufacture its clothing lines, helping to ensure that the old methods don’t die out.

Details of the Izzy Lane collection can be found at www.izzylane.co.uk
