The new 2009 winter collection by Jil Sander encapsulates the essence of tailored menswear with high collared slim line outerwear fitting close to the body.
This season knits are oversized, a rounded shoulder and dropped arm make for a more unstructured silhouette and a ‘scuba’ top adds technical fabric to the mix. Otherwise, fabrics and finishes are high luxury, the softest merino wools and alpaca, woven jacquards and structured herringbone.

Jil Sander Show Suit Jacket. Incredible single breasted jacket made from a woven wool and alpaca thread that’s coloured with light and dark silvery grey pigment. This piece is a fairly slim cut, it’s fully lined and has both internal and external pockets.
Jil Sander Chalk Stripe Shirt. Ultra soft dark grey fine wool shirt with a grey ‘chalk stripe’ covered placket. Slim fitting, a classic.
Jil Sander Show Shoe. Classic black Derby shoe in a high shine, fine grain calf leather- straight forward and simply constructed except for the toe which is shaped into subtle geometric angles. Looks amazing, very sophisticated and a bit sci-fi.
