Jon Bon Jovi is all set to be the new face of Avon’s forthcoming “Unplugged” scents; a pair of fragrances for men and women.
JBJ is partnering with the giant because, he says, he “loves their philanthropy and philosophy”. In a press release from over the weekend Bon Jovi said “Avon, the Avon Foundation for Women, have given support and voice to those in need for decades. Their philosophy of empowerment sends a strong message and I’m pleased to partner with them.”
Unplugged for Her is set for release in October while Unplugged for Him will follow in November.
The fragrances are said to be inspired by “passion, soulfulness and intensity” (three thing im sure all Bon Jovi fans will agree, he has). The women’s fragrance will be oriental in scent while the men’s will apparently have a woody note.
Vice President of Avon North America Beauty, Lily DeStefano says that the 50-year-old singer is the “perfect person” to have on board the project.
“Jon’s music and philanthropic work celebrate independence and optimism. Two beautiful qualities that radiate from within. The Unplugged scents evoke an emotional connection; something Jon inspires in audiences around the world.”
I’ve done some digging and though the scents will be released in America, I am unsure about their release on UK shores. I will keep my eyes and ears open for news.
