Founded in London Kickers have become an iconic footwear brand. In the late 60′s Daniel Raufast was captivated by a poster for the musical Hair which featured barefooted teenagers wearing jeans, this sparked an idea for a fresh shoe concept which he considered to be perfect for the denim generation.
Working with designer Jacques Chevallereau the first ‘jean boot’ was created. At a time when footwear producers solely provided traditional and orthodox shoes and boots, the multicoloured nubuck high shoes revolutionised the shoe industry. and became extremely popular.
Kickers shoes rapidly became the footwear of choice for an entire generation, within one season, Kickers grew from producing 300 to 12,000 pairs per month. Growth continued at such a rate that by 1974 Kickers were on sale in over 70 countries worldwide. The famous Kick Hi boot was brought out in 1975.
The Kickers label keeps on introducing new innovations to this day, they now boast a diverse range of footwear models in men’s, women’s and children’s styles.
