The Margaret Howell collection was undoubtedly the highlight of day 3 (well it ticked all my boxes), billed as the Margaret Howell Studio Show it had a distinct late 1940′s feel to it to it, this is no surprise from Howell, the unrelenting champion of postwar modernist design.
Howell certainly has embraced this theme creating, beautiful yet functional garments with a definite hint of the postwar touch.
On day four Paul Smith opted for a distinctly sports feel, incorporating lots of stripes, rugby shirt stripes, boating jacket stripes the collection comprised an eclectic mix of candy coloured blazers, cable knit sweater dresses, tailored shorts, satin kagols, Capri pants and white tuxedos.
