The official announcement of nominees and honorees for the 2008 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards was made Monday night at an exclusive event hosted by Swarovski and the CFDA Board of Directors at the Rooftop Gardens at Rockefeller Center.
Nominees for the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award:

Nominees for the Menswear Designer of the Year Award:

Nominees for the Accessory Designer of the Year Award.

Nominees for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear:
- Kate & Laura Mulleavy for Rodarte
- Thakoon Panichgul
- Alexander Wang
Nominees for the Swarovski Award for Menswear:
- Patrik Ervell
- Tim Hamilton
- Scott Sternberg for Band of Outsiders
Nominees for the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design:
- Philip Crangi
- Justin Giunta for Subversive Jewelry
- Joy Gryson.
The Swarovski Award recipients in each category will receive generous financial support from Swarovski as well as exposure to the company’s vast and innovative CRYSTALLIZED(TM) — Swarovski Elements.
Winners of the 2008 CFDA Fashion Awards plus special awards and honours will be announced on 2nd June 2008 at the annual gala at The New York Public Library the event is sponsored by Swarovski.
