July 28th, 2011Fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who tragically committed suicide in February last year, left £50,000 of his £16 million fortune to his beloved pet dogs, revealed after details of his will were released.
McQueen, who went on to find huge success with his provocative (and genius, I may add) designs, left the rough equivalent of $82,000 or 56,500 Euro’s to ensure that his dogs were well cared for and pampered after he was gone. Family members, housekeepers and his favourite charities also received large sums of money in the will.

The model turned TV presenter is going to host a show that is tentatively titled “24 hour catwalk” which will be shown in Lifetime in the USA. There have only been a few details released at the moment, but it is being described as “pitting designers against each other in catwalk challenges.” Sounds like another version of Project Runway.

The tragic “Back to Black” singer/songwriter and grammy award winner was found dead in her London flat on Saturday afternoon; she inspired a generation of fans of all ages as well as fashion designers with her intimate love of the 1960′s style.

July 26th, 2011Kate Middleton’s gorgeous Alexander McQueen wedding gown is to go on display at Buckingham Palace for the annual summer exhibition; however the Queen is not happy.
The dress has already attracted record sales in advance tickets which more than doubled from last year; over 600,000 people have paid £17.50 per ticket to have a first-hand look at the dress over the next ten weeks. Visitors will also get to see Kate’s McQueen wedding shoes (she’s a size 5 and a half by the way) and the royal wedding cake.
