Paul Smith began his fashion career at the age of 17. Paul’s ambition was to become a racing cyclist. However, an accident turned his life upside down, and after spending 6 months in hospital, Paul changed career direction to designerlabels. Within 2 years, he had opened up his own store in Nottingham.

In 1976, Paul Smith displayed his first menswear designer clothing collection in Paris under the Paul Smith Label. 20 years later, he is regarded as one of the leading mens fashion designers.

Paul Smith collections are mainly products in England and Italy, and the fabrics come from Italy, France and Britain.
