The luxury Italian label Prada could be sold to a private individual or consortium, reports have said. Rag-trade billionaire Richard Caring, who owns a number of London restaurants including the Ivy, has been named as one of the interested parties.
Prada has denied being in talks with Mr Caring and said a sale of the business to any group was not on the cards.
Demand for luxury goods, particularly in Asia, is booming and private equity firms are keen to cash in on the growth market, according to analysts.
