The idea for RARE clothing grew from from Fashion Finder which had been created by Peter Talwar, who, with many years of fashion industry experience on board, decided to develop a brand which inspired, had direction plus strong influences from European catwalks. Peter’s son, Raj Talwar is now in the hotseat at the Rare Fashion company.
In 2001 an important decision was made and the company conceived its own brand and the RARE concept was born. Rare Clothing was originally available through concession-based stores. The first was Lewis in Liverpool. A significant corner was turned when RARE were awarded a concession at Topshop, this has been a resounding success and today they are Topshop’s highest selling ladies fashion concession.
