Rockport also are the very first footwear manufacturer to use advanced athletic technologies in casual shoes in order to accomplish lightweight comfort, in addition to this they are the first company to design and incorporate walking comfort in dress and casual shoes.
The Rockport Company was founded in Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1971 by Bruce Katz, it is now based in Canton, Massachusetts the company not only produces footwear but also operates stores in the United States and 66 countries around the world. It was purchased by Reebok in 1985, today a subsidiary of German shoe giant Adidas.
