Sales up at Jaeger Fashion

Luxury British fashion brand Jaeger has revealed that underlying profits for the year ending 28th February rocketed 45% to £5m.

This growth has been attributed to significant investment in expanding and refurbishing its chain of stores.

Sales were up a massive 22% to £70.6m, compared with £58.1m in 2005/06.

Jaeger opened 16 new stores in 2006 and 10 more have opened since the beginning of this year. Currently Jaeger operate from 137 stores in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, this includes their own stores, shop-in-shops and outlets.

Jaeger plan to continue overseas growth over the next two years, with 40 more stores in the pipeline and further expansion to follow after that.

Jaeger is also going to establish a foothold in eight new markets which include the Americas, South Asia, Australia and Eastern Europe.
