Sergio Tacchini Sportswear

September 3rd, 2009

In 1966, Sergio Tacchini, a leading Italian tennis player, set out with an innovative idea to conquer the sport clothing and footwear markets.

Tacchini began by supplying clothing for his former team mates with the aim of breaking the traditional taboos and putting colour on to the tennis court.

The 1970′s saw coloured tennis clothing hit Wimbledon running and the phenomenon quickly gathered speed.

John McEnroe, Ille Nastase, Vitas Gerulatis, Mats Wilander, Pat Cash, Pete Sampras and Gabriela Sabatini are just a few of the leading tennis figures who have been associated with the Sergio Tacchini brand.
