A survey carried out by British based underclothing retailer Wickedelic Lingerie has discovered that an incredible 24% of UK people consider that overweight women should not be allowed to model lingerie, the online study questioned 500 people and almost a quarter believe letting larger women appear in lingerie advertising promotes an unhealthy lifestyle.
76% of respondents stated that plus size ladies should be allowed to model lingerie.
Sonia Jeffery, purchasing manager for Wickedelic Lingerie, said she was surprised by the findings.
“To be honest I expected the NO figure to be much lower, maybe around 15 per cent, so the results are surprising.
“The findings are also slightly worrying because if skinny ladies can model underwear, why can’t larger women? Bigger girls buy lingerie, too!
“Women should always feel comfortable with their figure and the impression given off by most female and male magazines that ‘skinny is best’ is unhealthy and bad for society.
“Here at Wickedelic Lingerie, we stock a great range of plus size lingerie at really affordable prices.”

If the girl in the picture is supposed to be plus-size, then I’m morbidly obese.
Curvy women are hot too. Waif women are not so hot in my opinion. Women should look like women, not like malnurished little boys.
The point is Hayley that she has curves, while in general catwalk models don’t
