Last week it was announced that this summer will see the launch of the Avril Lavigne fashion line which will be sold in Kohl’s department stores.

As this is a time that everyone and her dog is coming out with a fashion line, it makes perfect sense for the Canadian songstress to jump on the bandwagon so to speak and join the likes of Jessica Simpson, Victoria Beckham, Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez.

Lavigne’s clothing line is expected to be aimed towards the lower end of the budget with prices from $24 (£12) to $48 (£24).

In a report in Hollywood Today Avril Lavigne stated,

“I’m thrilled to announce my clothing line, Abbey Dawn, will aspire to be a unique and accessible reflection of my ever-changing style.”

The collection will be made up of everything a young girl would want to wear to imitate her idol, bold colors, stripes, plaids, will be in abundance. The aim of the range will be to reflect Ms Lavigne’s distinct and unique sense of style.

Undoubtedly there will be a section of the Avril Lavigne fan base who can’t wait for the day they can buy her style.
