Stone Island Royal Blue Jacket with Removable Lining

Stone Island was created by Italian designer Massimo Osti in 1982 as a secondary line to his main CP Company label.

Osti named the clothing brand after his boat. The collection specialises in surface treatment of fabrics and dyeing techniques, creating a ’stone wash’ effect.

Stone Island clothes have a compass patch that buttons onto the upper sleeve of the left arm. Originally the patches were green edged, however badges from 2000 onwards became black edged. There is a white badge but it is only used for imited edition jackets.

Stone Island’s main competitors are other expensive designer labels such as Burberry and Aquascutum.
