Tartan Totes (www.tartantotes.com) is an awesome environmentally friendly fashion accessories company set up and run by mother and daughter in-law team Louise and Jacqueline Queen, originally from Scotland they have now relocated to Nova Scotia on the Canadian Atlantic Ocean Coast.
The Tartan Totes company was founded with the idea of producing totes, bags and purses which are original, unique and eco friendly.
With more than a nod to their Scottish roots the products are primarily manufactured from recycled tartan, a fabulous idea as tartan is extremely popular throughout the world.
The recycled Tartan fabric is sourced from the local community, friends, relatives and eBay. Louise and Jacqueline are constantly on the look out for new, or nearly new items which they can picture being transformed into one of their designs. All the materials used are washed to freshen the fabric, even if the item is brand new.
While Tartan Totes is just a new company they are going places, I simply adore the beautiful products they are producing, and the environmentally friendly aspect is a major bonus. I wish Louise and Jacqueline every success.
