Topshop to enter Chinese marketplace

UK high street fashion retailer Topshop will open its first store in China early next year. China is the worlds fastest growing economy with retail sales expected to grow around 15% in the current year.

Topshop have signed a contract to lease space in the Shanghai Superbrand Mall, where H&M and Zara already have a presence.

Topshop is also in negotiations with a view to opening stores in Beijing and Hong Kong.

C&A, who opened their first Chinese store in Shanghai this April has revealed that they are opening in Beijing next year.
