My jaw literally hit the floor when I found out that Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah are leaving their label Twenty8Twelve.
It’s been six years since the label started and the sisters have decided to end their partnership with their brand, which will continue on with the current design team. It seems that the pair have now decided to pursue other ventures.
“We have had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve” starts their statement “We are now looking forward to new pastures. We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.”
Nish Soneji who is the managing director of Twenty8Twelve says that the brand has had a “great partnership” with the Miller sisters. “From the beginning, our mission was the create a contemporary label with its own identity and strong directional design with emphasis on quality, cut and finishing.” Nish goes on to say that the vision which they have created “along with the uniquely British style” will continue under the direction of the current Twenty8Twelve team.
Talking of the next chapter for the company Nish says that they will continue to explore retail store investments and e-commerce during their rebranding efforts; it will soon also be called Twenty8Twelve London instead of Twenty8Twelve by S. Miller. There are big plans to launch an e-commerce website in the Autumn of 2012 and the label are forging ahead with their plans to show at London Fashion Week next month.
Looking at tweets, maybe that’s what Savannah meant recently when she tweeted “THRILLED”. Instead of course, of those pesky rumours that Sienna is expecting her first child?
