Australian fashion label Wheels and Doll Baby, based in Sydney has gained a reputation as outfitters to the stars. The brand was founded by Melanie Greensmith and her husband Brett Ford in 1987.

Originally the company concentrated on imported rare and unusual clothing from U. K. and U. S., however sales of clothing designed by Melanie herself took off and the home grown collection became more popular than the imports.

In 2002 the brand really took off as the labels distinctive designs appeared on TV adorning the casts of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “Friends”
