The Charnos hosiery company was founded in 1935 by Charles Noskwith.

Right through the 1950s Charnos gained a reputation as an innovative company bringing many new ideas to the hosiery industry, they pioneered the use of stretch yarns in the United Kingdom.

Charnos was also responsible for numerous firsts including being the first British Company to market ‘Stretch Stockings’ and ‘Run Resist’ stockings.

1958 saw the formation of Charnos Lingerie to compliment the hosiery side of the business.
